Your cameras are already watching. VIGIL helps you investigate.
Connect compatible security cameras to VIGIL and turn continuous surveillance footage into searchable, investigation-ready video intelligence — or upload footage from an incident and start immediately.
Keep your cameras. Add VIGIL intelligence.
You shouldn't have to replace your surveillance system to make it more useful
VIGIL is being designed to work alongside existing security infrastructure, not force you to rip it out.
IP Cameras
Connect compatible network cameras directly.
RTSP Streams
Bring compatible live video streams into VIGIL for continuous processing.
NVR / DVR Systems
Connect existing recording infrastructure as integrations become available.
VMS Platforms
VIGIL is designed with an integration layer for existing video-management environments.
Uploaded Footage
Already have footage from an incident? Upload it directly and begin an investigation.
See what's connected. Know what's available.
Manage connected surveillance cameras from one workspace, organized by property, building, and location. If a camera disconnects, VIGIL shows the coverage gap rather than pretending footage exists.
Camera status
Live status, location, connection health, and last available frame for every connected camera.
Recent activity
Recent footage, processing status, coverage interruptions, and recent observations at a glance.
Saved evidence
Everything an investigator has already pulled into a case, connected back to its source camera.
Stop scrubbing through video one camera at a time
When an incident happens, start with what you know — VIGIL returns relevant footage and observations for operator review.
Search by time
"Between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM" — narrow to the window that matters.
Search by location
"Parking Garage East" — start from where the incident happened.
Find people
Select a person from available footage and search for matching observations across the investigation. When VIGIL can't establish that two observations belong to the same person, it says so — unknown is better than a confident wrong answer.
Find vehicles
Organize vehicle observations by time, camera, location, and available visual attributes across connected footage.
Search by event
"Show activity around this location during this time window" — start from the moment, not the camera list.
Ask VIGIL
Ask questions in plain language, grounded in actual video evidence — with the footage that can't support a conclusion said plainly.
See where the available evidence leads.
Start from an observation and follow the person's available path through surveillance footage. When evidence between cameras is missing or uncertain, VIGIL shows the gap rather than inventing a continuous path.
1:32:11 AM — PARKING GARAGE EAST
Person observed.
1:33:02 AM — GARAGE ENTRANCE
Possible continuation supported by available evidence.
1:34:18 AM — LOBBY
Person observed.
Turn an observation into a case
Create an investigation directly from connected camera footage, bringing together live and recent footage, uploaded recordings, observations, timestamps, saved clips, and operator notes — all in one workspace.
1:41:12 AM — PARKING WEST
Vehicle observed arriving.
1:52:31 AM — PARKING EAST
Person observed.
1:54:03 AM — PARKING EAST
Person observed near vehicle.
1:57:44 AM — FRONT GATE
Additional person observation.
A person observed near a vehicle does not by itself establish ownership, criminal activity, or intent. Operators open the underlying footage, review context, and decide what belongs in the investigation.
The rolling footage may expire. Your saved evidence shouldn't.
Connected cameras may use configurable retention periods. When an investigator saves a relevant moment to a case, VIGIL preserves it separately from the normal rolling video lifecycle.
Preserve the evidence
Video clips, snapshots, timestamps, camera information, notes, and timeline entries stay connected to the investigation instead of disappearing into hours of footage.
Export what matters
Once an investigation is complete, authorized users collect relevant evidence into a package — selected clips, snapshots, camera names, timestamps, timeline, and notes.
No five-hour handoff
No need to hand someone five hours of footage and tell them where to look. The package is already organized around what happened.
Know when your security system can — and cannot — see
A camera appearing in a dashboard doesn't necessarily mean video intelligence is functioning correctly. VIGIL separates the two, so investigators can identify genuine evidence gaps.
Organization → Property → Building → Area → Camera
Search a single camera, a group of cameras, or every relevant camera across an investigation.
Investigate yesterday's incident, or prepare for tomorrow's
Both paths lead into the same VIGIL investigation experience.
Upload footage
Already have recorded video? Upload footage from one or multiple cameras and begin investigating immediately.
Upload → Process → Search → Find → Investigate → Export
Connect cameras
Connect compatible cameras so footage is available to VIGIL before the next incident occurs.
Camera → Continuous Ingest → Searchable Video → Investigation → Evidence
When something unusual happens, VIGIL can bring it to your attention
Security teams can't watch every camera every second. VIGIL can continuously analyze connected feeds for configured high-priority events, then surface relevant footage for human review.
Depending on camera placement and validated detection capabilities
Physical altercations
Surfaces video patterns consistent with a possible fight or aggressive interaction for immediate review.
Person down
Surfaces situations where a person appears to have fallen or remained on the ground.
Forced or unauthorized entry
Monitors configured entrances and restricted areas for observable access events that violate defined rules.
Vehicle incidents
Surfaces observable collisions or unusual vehicle events in monitored parking areas.
Unusual crowd activity
Surfaces sudden crowd formation, dispersal, or unusual movement patterns for operator review.
Running or rapid movement
Where relevant, VIGIL can flag unusual rapid movement for review. Running alone is never automatically classified as dangerous or criminal.
Abandoned objects
Where validated and configured, VIGIL can surface objects that appear left unattended for a defined period.
Camera tampering
Detects obstruction, sudden loss of view, significant camera movement, stream interruption, or extended outage.
Smoke or fire indicators
Where supported by validated models, VIGIL can surface visual indicators consistent with smoke or fire for urgent human verification — complementing, never replacing, certified fire detection and life-safety systems.
Not every event deserves the same response
Priority is based on configured, observable event criteria — never on assumptions about a person's identity or intent.
Potential immediate safety concern requiring urgent review.
Potential significant incident requiring prompt operator attention.
Unusual activity that should be reviewed.
Informational event or operational observation.
An alert without context isn't enough
Every VIGIL incident alert provides the camera, timestamp, video preview, before-and-after context, the detected event, and the system's confidence or uncertainty — not a bare notification.
Possible physical altercation
Configured after-hours activity
Camera connection lost
Different cameras have different rules.
An activity that's normal at noon may require attention at 3 AM. Configure monitoring by property, camera, zone, day, time, and event type — VIGIL can apply different alert rules during each period.
More alerts don't necessarily mean better security. VIGIL prioritizes useful alerts using event confidence, duration, repeated observations, camera location, monitored zones, and time of day.
Operators can mark an alert as:
VIGIL detects the signal. Your team makes the decision.
VIGIL should not automatically decide that someone is dangerous, suspicious, or committing a crime. It surfaces observable events. Your team reviews the evidence. This distinction is fundamental to trustworthy video intelligence.
Camera access is sensitive infrastructure
Only authorized users should be able to access cameras, investigations, and evidence.
Before you connect a camera
What cameras can I connect?
Will connecting cameras replace my existing security system?
What happens if a camera goes offline?
Does VIGIL decide on its own that something is dangerous?
How does VIGIL avoid flooding my team with alerts?
Can I set different rules for different cameras or times of day?
From the first observable event to the final evidence package
Connect your cameras. Search your footage. Find what matters.
Whether the footage is live, stored in your existing system, or uploaded after an incident, VIGIL brings video into one investigation workflow.
